Trångfors

The Trångfor area is a historic industrial area outside Hallstahammar in Hallstahammar municipality. The Kolbäcksån and Strömsholm canal run through the area, which made it possible for hammers, forges and hydroelectric plants to be established here. As early as 1628, the first trip hammer was built. The Trångfor area and its facilities have been partially restored and are now part of the Ecomuseum Bergslagen. Worth seeing are the forge from 1799 and the power station from 1899.
